You should be able to use a torch without doing any damage, just heat the area around the bolt, grab onto the head of the bolt with a GOOD pair of vice-grips, and work that bolt back and forth, don't try to take it out all in one motion, work it back and forth, and if needed, reheat the area. You may not have given the WD-40 enough time to work, sometimes letting it soak overnight is not enough. Others will say you should have used another product, such as PB blaster, if that bolt was stuck tight enough, that would not have worked either. I have tried them all, one is not much better than the other.
