I had the same problem on a 450D I got from dad. There were several broken off level with the axle housing in it. I started to drill them out but a man many years my senior...and a lot smarter told me how to do it. He told me to take a 1/4" thick piece of flat metal and drill a 3/8" hole in it. Set it on top of the remainder of the bolt and weld it to the bolt thru the hole uning an electric welder. Let the bolt cool a little, bend the metal up enough to get your hand on it and begin to work the metal back and forth like a breaker bar. It will come loose and come right out. He was right. The heat expanded the bolt enough to break the rust. When it cooled, the metal acted like a handle and they came right out. I had 3 bolts out in under an hour like this. 3 holes, 3 welds and I was done. Sometimes experience counts. Good luck....
