dmp: Power train wise the two tractors only have a couple of basic differences; PTO 540 is 1800rpm on 560 and somewhere in the 2200-2300 rpm on 660. You can achive the same hp from a 560 as the 660 through higher rpm, pump changes and injectors. I operated a 560 in the 90-100 hp range from new for about 18 years and 11,000 hours. Don't ask me how to do it, as an IH technician made all the changes for me.
