A 806 carb bowl does not have a brass plug on the bottom of the bowl. This brass plug holds the metering stem in place on the older carbs, the 806 metering stem is threadded into the bowl. So look for the brass plug on the bottom of the bowl, if it has it, it is not a 806. You can find them on 303-503 IH combines as well. I have 5 806 bowls if you are interested. 574-893-7437 ChadS.
