Just turn the crank 1/2 turn and the next cylinder in firing order can be adjusted; 2 full turns of the crank will bring you back to #1 again. Firing order = 1-3-4-2.
The engine should be at operating temp before adjustment.
Best to use a new valve cover gasket.
