I am also an amateur at painting. Two weeks ago, I painted my C with 2150, 8:1. The day was too hot and too humid and I used too much air pressure. Tractor painted ok but sheet metal was shiny in some spots and flat in others. Yesterday we had low humidity, light breeze. I set air compressor at about 55lbs, regulator/water filter about 40lbs. Took my time and re-sprayed the parts till they look wet, but not dripping. Now it all looks nice and shiny. Patience and practice, practice. Good luck and have fun.
