Are you sure it's a Torque Amplifier? There were a very few tractors IH built with experimental transmissions, I know of one left. Probably not one with your serial number. What you probably have is parts of an M and a Super MTA mated in later years. Somebody had two parts tractors and made one. The casting date codes would tell the story there. For that matter, the part number off the clutch housing would too. The earliest experimental drawings for TA that I've seen were 1949, although IH was obviously playing with planetarys earlier. Your serial number indicates a standard production tractor, or at least not something too radical, so I think you're looking at a farmer spare parts tractor. Still be a conversation piece.
