I posted a message about a week back that asked where I could find a filter but now I was wondering something different. My neigbor has a '60 model Ford 601 Workmaster which he has switched the old element oil filter out for a new model filter that fit on the base of the block. In other words the old element filter screwed on at the bottom of the base before the cover was applied and he found a new model filter that just matches right up with the threads on the base and screws right on without having to apply the fitler cover. Is there anyway this would work with an M? Never changed oil before on one because I've only had this one about 2 weeks and was too young to understand what my Grandfather was doing when he changed it one his Super M. Could the Air filter be switched out to make it easier for changing like this also.. I know I'm probably reaching really far out there for a good ansewer on this but I was just wondering. Thank you for your time again.
