Seemed to me that the band brakes were easier to keep working, but the discs are okay if kept clean and taken care of.We used the 350 on the baler, and when we had to stop, I would lock the left brak of course, but sometimes forgot to release it when we started out again. Didn't notice with tractor in low gear, but dad sure did when I had to stop again and pushed the clutch in. almost threw him off front of wagon. Kind of turned brake housing black after a while too. Band brakes seemed to lock better, and were more consistent in braking. Discs semed to either not work well, or lock up too easy.
