It seems that the pressure plate is perminently compressed. As I tighten the three screws, the fingers just suck back and make the travel of the clutch pedal that much further. I did what it said in the manual - 1)tighten 3 bolts to compress plate. 2) insert disk & then plate. 3) put in 6 bolts. 4)Remove the three used to compress. So unless the disk in backwards (I don't remember the disk being side specific), I have no idea what I'm doing wrong. If anyone has any suggestions... I would love to hear them. Thanks again.
