The oil pan on the old M comes off real easy. Pull it off and lay a piece of pasteboard under it. Leave it for awhile, then come back and you will easily see what area is the culprit without laying under the tractor yourself. You can then slide under it and watch for the telltae drops. The last old M I fooled with that had this problem had water seeping around the dry sleeves. Since these ARE dry, the only answer would be that someone in the past had been rough getting the sleeves out and had cracked the block. We debated going further and ended up simply putting stop leak in. That's been about fifteen years ago and it's still doingokay.
