If you're going to replace the grease zerts anyway, my suggestion would be to paint and then replace the zerts. I prefer not to have paint on my zerts. It makes them eaiser to spot and looks better than zerts with the paint peeling or flaking off. But then I also don't care to put paint my hoses, or paint the starter, fan blade, or generator red, as I think black adds a nice contrast to the red tractor. Just my opinion here and certainly not intended for those restoring a tractor to original. Fred KS
