Primary is where fuel go in from fuel filters, secondary is inside called plunger. When you run on gas and unhook throttle at pump, pull all the way back and see if engine smokes, if not could injectors are froze, which you can clean. Could be you dont have enough pressure to open them. I also had one that wouldn,t run because the starting valves wouldn,t close and therefore no compression. You can take valve cover off and make sure the rod that pushes starting valves down is releasing all the way. Other than this you might have to pull the head. I am giving you advise on my dealings with gas start/diesels I do not callmyself an expert but I can usually figure out how to get them to run.
