Super H Hydraulics

What was used originally in the hydraulic system on a 54 SH w/live hyd.?
30 weight oil? The lift-alls required 30 wt. non detergent (to prevent foaming) engine oil,But I have Live Hyd.,not a Lift-All.
When I got this one it had Hydraulic Fluid in it-not engine oil.Would it pick up more with the engine oil or does it make a difference?
Thoughts Please!
This spring it wouldn't pick up my 400 Cyclo 4 row when loaded w/Fert.and seed.
