What you have is a block of graphite or carbon. The lube is absorbed into it. You are coorect in that the t/o bearing does not move, rather the clutch fingers spin against the bearing. Your bearing is from IH. A new, conventional ball bearing unit can now be purchased from other sources and is superior to the one you have.
