You can try and IH dealer. However, I think you will end up trying to find your parts at a salvage dealer. I tried to get a float for my MD carb and ended up making do with the one I had. My IH dealer said not any parts available for the MD carbs anymore. As Tim said, the carb on the MD is entirely different than on the gasoline M. Also, as you may have found out the carb is very difficult to get off the manifold because of the location of the bolts on the back side. I suggest replacing those back side bolts with socket head screws to make it easier to get the carb off and back on the manifold
