The notch in the tool box is offset to one side to give clearance for the throttle linkage on the diesel models. I have one on my SMTAD, I took it off off my MD. What ever you do do not drill unneccesary hole in it or weld on it. The last one I seen on ebay was missing some rivets on the hinges and still went for over $150.
