The combine to tractor swap can be done, but from what I've been told, you'll be much better off finding a 706 with a 310 and a bad rear end. I have heard that the 715's 310 has a different crankshaft that does not allow for the 706 flywheel to bolt up. You have to have a flywheel made. There's a couple of other things on the 715 that won't work. I think the oil pan doesn't clear the tractor front end, and the oil filter doesn't clear the frame rail. Then there's the differences between a 706 with the 282 and a 706 with the 310. The frame rails and hood are different. If you bought a 756 parts tractor, you wouldn't get the correct sheetmetal, but you'd get about everything else that you need.
