it was aftermarket. ih dealers here sold them. have one on a super a that dad bought new in 1950. said he used the flat seat one day and did good to be able to walk the next. went to dealer and bought the last oen he had at the time. paid $32 for it. still have the original seat that has only been used 1 day. do not know of another in this area with the same type seat. wade- cullman alabama
