If the Fay/Kraushaar book you're talking about is the Farmall Letter Series Originality Guide, it's page 11, middle of the second column. I don't have a photo of a casting code there, but the serial number book I did has it.

As mentioned by GLen, the numbers you list are parts numbers. One point of confusion is that lots of folks call parts numbers "casting numbers". While Deere and Case differentiated between castings and non-casting part numbers, IH really didn't. Parts numbers are the xxxxxxR1 or xxxx-D numbers. Casting codes are the number-number-letter codes
