Some one will probably correct me, as I have a Super A with a belly mower, no bush hog, trailing or mounted. I would think you would have more wear with the offset pto with a mounted one. As to trailing, I have broken PTO shafts (stupidity) with trailing mowers, etc on modern tractors. Just be careful turning, your acceptable turning radius will probably be different, left or right, because of the offset pto.
