My Dad had a 39 A. In fact the first one in the state of Michigan. The seats were covered in a dark grey to almost black canvass. The choke didn't need a rod to the operator's platform, since it had to be hand cranked from the front. there was, however, a pull rod with a button knob connected to the magnito to shut the tractor off from the operator's platform. It was a shrouded wire like the throttle cable on a lawn mowwer. Ours did have a swinging drawbar so I'm assuming yours had one when new. Another feature was that the steering wheel was all black hard rubber composition, and not the metal spokes as on the later models. YT, I believe, has the replacement steering wheels should you need one. Just thought I'd throw that in there even though that wasn't part of your question. There were a few other features exclusive to the 39's, and I'm sure you'll become aware of them as you go.
