Water in oi in M farmall.

I posted this about two weeks ago but I cannot find the post. Someone said to take the oil pan off. I just removed it this morning now what do I look for? If it is a cracked head or head gasket would water seep in to the oil pan without the tractor running? I drained the oil out last night and this morning I had antifreeze in the pan?? I hope it is not a cracked block!! appreciate your comments
