donwisc: A number of years back I was advised by an IH technicion to use white automotive grease you buy in squeeze tubes. I don't even bother with the grease zerk. I just remove the plug and squeeze the grease in with tube. I have been using this close to 25 years now. The IH guy said this product was better than regular grease because of it's water resistance and is not as subject to change by temperature. He said it was just one of the improvments to come along since tractor was built.
