Has the tractor been sitting outside in the rain? Not likely that this would cause it unless you have had an extreme amount of rain, or has it otherwise been exposed to moisture?
I have had the clutch stick even when it was parked inside where it was dry, but only after it sat for a length of time.
It's not likely to happen again.
