I had the same thing happen when I advertised my super C. Same scam as described by other responses to your question. I ignored the email, and he never wrote again. Dont you think if it was real, he would have tried harder to contact me a second time? Why would anybody want to buy a tractor in the USA and then pay a huge shipping fee to a forign country, when there are so many old tractors there already? To talk like Mark Russell, "if it looks like a duck, and it walks like a duck, and it quacks like a duck, it IS a duck." I also advertised a model A ford doodlebug home made tractor on another forum, and got an inquiry from supposedly england (maybe some of us are wising up to the Nigeria scam?) and he offered not only the asking price of $1500, but raised the price $800, then offered the "certified" check. (wink wink nudge nudge) I also ignored that one. If I am going to give away some of my equipment, it will be to one of my kids, and I won;t throw in several hundred extra "because the check was larger than the price". I was born in the morning, but it was not yesterday morning.
