Part by part remove each piece and sandblast it to remove all rust, quick before it starts to oxidize, get paint on it right away. Same for bolt head and nuts, paint 'em thick. No one has ever used Bondo on a tractor restoration, ever. Nor has anyone ever painted over dirt, grease, rust, old decals, rubber tires! The best restorations usually use a paint brush to apply the paint. This creats a thicker coating on the tractor which wears like iron, can't even tell on cast parts, and looks good on tin work too! (Just kidding, good luck!)
