I tell you what Kelly, where power requirement is concerned round balers do vary! The variable chamber belt types seem easier to turn than the fixed chamber roller type. To give you an example, my JD 550 seemed to take a lot less power than the Claas Rollant 62 I had. My neighbour had a 75 hp Massey on his Claas 44 4' round baler and it used to work it to death.
