I have been watching this discussion as I am interested in the same thing as Kelly. I have a few acres (roughly 50) that I would like to bale myself. I have once again proved that if you want something done do it yourself. I sold dads square baler, and am either going to purchase another, or buy a larger tractor and round baler. Like Kelly I wondered how big is big enough. I do not need or want a large horse tractor with the full dress of cab and ac to work a little over 100 acres. For the life of me I cannot see how some folks can economically run the big machines in this area on small acreages. I have a neighbor with a few hundred acres running a new FWA New Holland complete with cab and AC. Not sure of the price tag, but I would bet it will take a few head of cattle to pay for it. I believe I recently saw a post where Andy Martin was running an M with a round baler. I would like to purchase something like an M or 300, etc. with a loader and even if it is marginal I can take my time. I just will not look as good doing it (or will I?).

To top that off, you have a cup with oil in it ("why would you want to lubricate your carburetor?"). On closer examination (and some reading in a AC D-14 service manual), I found out that this is a pretty ingenious method of cleaning the air in the tractor's intake tract.
