Kelly I am a day late on this post, but here goes anyway. I started round bales with a 605A Vemeer bought new. You do not want a compression roller baler as I have laid on my back and sweated blood cutting hay from roller. I have a 605F Vemeer now, the begining of the good Vemeer balers. It was recomended for 70HP I pull it with a 756D, but have pulled it with a 460D just slower was force to until had time to fix PTO on 756. I pulled the 605A with it all the time and a 574 gas. I hve pulled the 605F with a 544 gas it pulled it all right same as 460D, but did like gas while pulling it. If you could find good 504F vemeer or later model, a 560 should play with it. From what I saw him say once Hugh is about a year younger than I, and he seems to have a lot of commen since. A 300 would pull a 504F would be about like me pulling the 605F with my 460. Just my coments a day late and a dollar short.
