Having read your recent post, I agree the system should be working. One thing I have encountered may be related to the hammer hande fix is... these tractors are running at low RPM and occasionally I have had an alternator that was "lazy". I suggest that you let the tractor run until the engine is at operating temperature and then in rapid spurts rev the engine to the maximum you feel comfortable with. Most likely the unit will start charging again. If this happens and you want a fix you will have to change the pulley to a smaller diameter one. Post your results.
