White Cub (mis)identification

I saw on an earlier thread that an upside down L cast into the transmission case was an indicator of a demonstrator. Thinking it was more likely an indicator of a Louisville casting, (all Cubs were built in Louisville), I checked the 3 cases that happen to be on my workbench for a current project. Two are from Cub Cadets and one is a '48. They all have the upside down L. I guess I'll take a flashlight and check the other eight Cubs in the barn and report...... The location is in a difficult place...under the floor pan and behind the battery cable, but I found it on five of them. My demonstrator was one of the five. George Willer
