If I'm not mistaken the only time that plug is hot is when the lights are on. I have never used a trickle charger but I would think to use this plug you would have to have the light switch on to complete the circuit to the battery. Not sure if you would gain anything like that. Sounds like you might want to do some rewiring for a place to hook your trickle charger. As far as finding a plug for this at Case/IH, good luck. If anyone could it would be at Owensville or Mt. Sterling. Crown Power is a joke for parts in my opinion. Best of Luck.
