How do you get it apart? I have tried everything under the sun to get the, (I think it's called a Gland), off. But it will not budge. It's brass and I'm afraid to damage this part. From what I can see from just a visual inspection is that the front gasket for the water pump bearing seal is missing a small section I can see nothing else wrong. The rest of the unit seems to be pretty tight. But I still would like to take it apart now that I'm this far to replace any other bad parts. Like I said this has to be the strangest water pump I think I have ever seen; alot of moving parts to do something so simple. The break down that I have of this unit shows some 27 diffrent parts to this water pump.
