snapped that puppy right off!

I have a 42 H wide front (old style, long wheelbase) with a 33-A McCormick Power Loader. Big bucket, 8 ft. wide. Run off belly pump right now. I was really working her today, clearing trees, pushing down dead ones, finishing up a burn pile, skidding logs for my log home, etc. All day long. Anyway, one of the support pipes that run from the upright bracket of the loader frame to the front of the tractor snapped the large center bolt off. Brand new grade 5 with threads all the way through. Anybody ever have problems like this? Guess I shoulda put in grade 8, huh? Will tomorrow, just want to find out if this might be a weak link that I need to compensate for.
