If you want to use spray cans, get it in IH 2150 from your Case/IH dealer. This is superior rattle can paint. Notation of color on other brands is meaningless (i.e. wrong). But, it will not match the remaining paint on your tractor, which was originally IH 50 (brighter red). Definitely use Case-IH primer. An epoxy primer is preferred, but it does not come in spray cans. It will fade, eventually. You will have better luck with adhesion if you etch the surface with some sort of rust inhibitor/preventative before priming. I don't care for rattle can paint, except for out of the way places, but some people paint whole tractors with it.
