air cleaner misc pc.

On my 300 utility hood drivers side i took off the
hood to clean and change the oil in the air cleaner when i looked at the underside of hood there looks like there should be some kind of metal duct or funnel that,s suppost to be on hood
that goes from hood to air cleaner,can someone
help me with infomation on this subject,THANKS
