I ran into this same problem yesterday.
The oil was coming up around the stud.
As TDK mentioned in his post, I also had put a lock washer on the stud when I bolted the stud back on. The lock washer was allowing the oil to come up around the stud instead of going into the rockers.
I also made a thin gasket for under the post out of a very thin piece of gasket material just to insure that it sealed against the head and then reassembled with out the lock washer.
