The 45 is like the 46 like than I have. If it is not cutting the twine, the twine knifes may be dull or out of adjustment. Also check to see if there is tension on the twine to hold it tight so it can be cut by the twine knife. If it is loose the twine will over run the needles and will not be tight enough to be cut. That adjustment is in the twine box. Also check the clearance between the twine disks and clearers. John In Iowa
