The MD has no throttle control on the gas side, except the plate inside the carb that is pemanently set. You must remove and take the carb apart to change the setting. If yours is running at about 3/4 speed on the gas side, that is about right and I would not mess with it. Taking the carb off is not so easy since one of the bolts that holds it to the manifold is just about impossible to get a wrench on but I guess you know that if you have had the carb off.
