Most of the time you only need to move it a little bit & it will come on out. On an engine that I just pulled the sleeves on, I had to make a puller because the sleeve didn't hang down into the crankcase far enough to get much of a push on. We took a piece of round stock & turned it down on a lathe to the size needed. I then used a piece of flatstock on top & allthread for the rod. Came out real easy.
