We have two 856's, and one we bought new. Holds 16,000 strong hours right now. Has had a clutch and two or three TA's, but for a long time it was the main tractor on a 300 acre dairy farm. Took a lot of abuse. Engine/rear end never touched. Has been on the roller mill filling silo the last week. Hey, still has original IH muffler, too. Lots of power. The other one we bought a few years back was a little abused, still has lots of power with 10,000 hours. Awesome tractors, I've never heard anybody, even green guys, talk bad about them. Good luck, I know what personal significance can have on a tractor.
