I was brush hoggin with my farmall B the other day when, while making a turn, one of my brakes apparently locked up and stuck. I left it in the field for a few hours to cool down. When I returned, I was able to get it to break loose enough to get back to the barn. By the time I got it to the barn it was squeaking pretty bad. Upon inspection of the rear axle, I noticed a hole in the right (when standing behind the tractor)axle casing where it attaches to the transmission final housing. Is this hole suppose to be there. I'd never noticed it before. There was plenty of smoke coming out of it, I think from the stuck brake. If it is the brake, what is the best way to fix my problem?
