Super A Starting Problem

I just tried to start my Super A which has been sitting for six weeks while I recovered from knee replacement surgery. I charged the battery (BTW, the tractor has been converted to 12v. by the previous owner), and tried to start it and nothing happened. Disconnected battery cables and wire-brushed them and battery posts, still no luck - the starter is not even clicking or groaning - I'm sure I'm not geting juice to it, but I don't know why. The wiring job has always been suspect - it is really jury-rigged and sloppy. I have taken a look at Bob M's wiring diagrams and am not sure which one to use to rewire my SA - I do not have a key ignition, just a magneto ignition system, the pull starter rod and the "Out to Run-In to Stop" switch. Anyone got any ideas??? Here's a link to Bob M's wiring diagrams:
