Bama, If I remember right...the problem was that the starter wouldn't spin or attempt to, so if that is the case, it pretty much has to be either your battery, cable connections to the starter and chassis of the traactor, the pull switch on top of the starter, or the starter itself. I don't think your push/pull switch on the dash would have much to do with the starter not spinning....it should just be for providing juice to the coil. Hang in there....you'll get her. One other thing that I thought of....you might take a piece of wood or a hammer and peck the side of the starter a little.....maybe if one of your brushes inside the starter isn't making good contact, maybe a little jarring would help it.
