Front Bolster Removal on Farmall M Wide Front

Hello all,

A predicament here....needing to take front engine cover off a Farmall M. the tractor has an IH wide front end with the tie rods up front. Is there any way to remove the front steering bolster without removing the entire front end? We are looking at this and we think we can do it if we leave the 2 rear bolts that are holding the front end in place and sliding the bolster out the front....If anyone could lend us some advice as what to do, it would be appreciated.....I just know the dang front bolster weighs A BUNCH, and we're not looking forward to this fix......ANYWAY....another day another dollar....Thanks in advance,
