I have a reprint IH manual that says 65ft lbs, I used that tourque and it leaked internall and externally, Someone on this forum said that IH raised this value to 80 ft Lbs. So I got a new head gasket and tourqed them to 80 and no leaks ! The book doesent show a pattern, I started in the center and worked out evenly on both sides, starting at 40 ft lbs and gradually going up to 80.
