Just to add to the debate. Not all SMTA had TA's! You could order the tractor without the Torque Amp or without a IPTO and maybe without live hydraulics. Ordered without the TA, the tractor came with no planetary gears/clutches etc. just a straight shaft was installed through the longer clutch housing and obviously the operating handle wasn't included. But the tractor is still correctly refered to as a SMTA. My nickel, Dick Davis
