My dad told me of the time when was working for an implement dealer in the late 40's. He had to deliver a combine and bring back the old one and all they had to deliver it with was a B Farmall.
On the way back he athought he would make up some time going down Montauk hill in Cleremont, so he kicked it out of gear at the top. Said he figured he went into town doing about 40!
