560-diesel pump question?

I have a 560 -d It hasn't been ran in years.I have fuel to the pump and fuel coming out of the return side of the pump,but there is no fuel going to the injectors.Could I have an air pocket or a bad injector pump ? Any help would appreciated.Is there any way to purge the pump itself of air?
